special re-release day edition of marvel versus capcom 2

I apologize for the clutter up there but,I feel it is completely needed! Today is a big day, the high def marvel versus capcom 2(crack lol) has be re-released for xbox live market place as well as the PlayStation network store, the fight pad i reviewed yesterday is compatible for both systems! Now most of you have played, molested, memorized, destroyed and skilled this game already, however there is a moderate group of people that have not even heard of this game.

Now i can sit here all day and talk about the different teams i used and debate with you guys the best teams but that's not what this is about . So up until now all i have had (anyone has had) is the 8 character demo that's been available.I haven't played this game in quite some time, so as i fired up the demo, i was thrown back into the chaos and intensity of it, and god i loved every second of it. I forgot how crazy and hectic this game can get, in little to no time though i was dropping 36 hit combos, air juggling and pulling 3 member ultra finishes ha ha. The fight pad had my fights going as smooth as possible, the hd graphics were gorgeous the sound was unbelievable! I have been blown away by new games allot, but never by a remake, i have been excited for a long time about this and shit did it live up to its potential and then some!

So today is only the release for xbox live marketplace and it is at 2pm eastern time, it will cost you 1200 Microsoft point which i believe is about 15 dollars, the psn release is scheduled for august 13th with the same price tag and time frame for the day, so i say for now see you all on live or psn soon.

street fighter 4 xbox360 fightpad

Well like a few others i started playing street fighter 4 using the regular 360 controller, ugh it was terrible.the timming was off cause of the wireless 1/4 second delay which in street fighter games 1/4 second is serious lol.

the dpad was OK but not perfect , it was a little too tight.the button layout was just no good , no matter what you did in the in-game options to the setup the button configuration on the regular 360 controller is just not i repeat NOT at all proper for fighting games.

after losing countless ranked online matches and struggling against Seth(*spoiler alert* the last boss)i finally threw that regular controller aside, called a good friend at best buy and had the only fight pad in the store(blanka who i don't use and hate!) held on the side for me until i arrive.upon arrival i looked at the thing in the package and did have a few concerns.the shoulder buttons worried me and the dpad as well, it looked as tight as the regular controller. but it was wired so no delay at all and was at this point(2 weeks after release)damn near impossible to get your hands on, so i paid , gave love to my people at the store, and excitedly raced home.once home i grab my blade and the bag with the controller in it, told the wife to come sit for a minute(yes she is a 2d fighter fan, her favorite characters are ryu from capcom and Iori and terry bogard from snk)ripped this package open plugged it in to my 360 and pressed that little x button in the middle of the controller, which is the only part of this controller i don't like, it has to be held a few seconds longer then the regular one for system power on, but it is something easily look passed as i was a bout to find out.

so i started the game and turned off online play so i can adjust to this controller.started arcade mode, first person i used was ken(needed to see how it flows with the shoryukens and hadoukens lol) first fight i instantly fell in love! the dpad is so smooth and just loose enough that every move is so simple and flows like a summer breeze in a beach house.the button layout was perfection even the shoulder buttons i was concerned with. the buttons had just the right amount of give and Resistance .i won arcade mode medium difficulty without continuing and got 2 perfects and a couple of super and ultra finishes, this controller had me hooked.so after countless arcade run through and some trial mode training, i decided it was time for online matches, and boom flawlessly allowed me to win 5 ranked in a row.

so overall i will say this, it works with most 2d fighters for the 360(blazblu,king of fighters 12)and i highly suggest if you play these games ( i know they are near impossible to find) find one, buy it and love it like i do, i cant play without this thing, went to an arcade as you can read about in my first blog, and i cant play joystick because of how much i adapted to this controller.so in my book it receives ★★★★★ outta ★★★★★

king of fighter 12 review

OK all ill start by saying this, i always was a 2d fighter fan but i just recently got back into it hardcore thanks to my boys nelson and Dave.I have been following the king of fighters 12 launch for a few weeks now. all the contests these guys have been holding on face book and twitter and the way they have been responding to us(the fans!) as if they knew us personally is fantastic and made them A+ in my book. my cousin Dave brought his newly purchased copy for PS3 over on Saturday before we hit the arcade. first thing we did was pop this game in cause i have been dying to play it, all day before hand i had been playing capcom vs snk 2k edition and marvel vs capcom 2 and street fighter 4 but the snk vs game had been holding my attention the most. now having only played fatal fury and kof 98 and snk vs capcom 2k before hand i only knew a little about how this fight engine worked, but i had no problem flowing right into the combo system. my cousin has been a die hard snk fan since our youth and he wasn't thrilled with how they changed a lot of the characters move set but it was explained to be a reinvention right?

well the control scheme is great to me especially since i was so used to the fight pad on 360 , the PS3 controllers dpad works just as fluidly. a few downers were the inability to go back after a selection and the lack of a move list in training mode.but if ya know 2d fighters you can figure it out. within no time i had ryo and iori down to a science(not as good as my cousin though) he made it look like ballet dancing he was so fluid and masterful , i was so jealous and i decided i need to learn this game back and forth. unfortunately he left Sunday afternoon with the game so i didn't get to keep playing.first weekend in august i will purchase this game for xbox360 no problem and my suggestion for all my readers; if you are a die hard 2d fighter fan,buy this game, if your a casual fan game fly it.

I'm looking to borrow a copy of blazblu for either PS3 or 360 so i can review it anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated and would earn you a great shout out and praise from the fans as well.

chinatown fair video arcade my first review for this site

Sweat, shit talking, Change Jingling In Pockets, 3 To 5 Different Languages, Hadukens, Berserker Barrages, button mashing, This was just the first 30 seconds of entry to this awesome gem of a place. it was Saturday at 8:45 pm, running an hour and 45 minutes late to meet a few friends who are real pros at 2d fighters because of the shitty parking situation surrounding Mott street in Chinatown. Though is was a bitch, the fun had in those 35 circles around Mott were pure fun, random people receiving high fives from a car full of dudes ready to talk shit and land some combos. finally a spot opens by a park a little more than a block away, overjoyed, like a gang of buffoons we start hooting and hollering and jumped out the new Lexus my cousin David bought. out front was nelson and his boy rave, that first burst of sweaty b.o. air, the cheers of victory and the foggy mist of defeat all lingered the magical air as i passed over what seemed to be 20 to 30 fighting games and 5 to 10 dance dance machines. the range was king of fighters 98 , marvel vs capcom 2 right up to street fighter 4 , blazblu, and even the not released on consoles yet king of fighter 12. I haven't been using anything at home on street fighter 4 but the fight pad they released that seem to be sold out everywhere, so the joystick was really a threat to me. i started out on the marvel vs capcom 2 machine with my boy jay, who is good but not on my level(yes I'm cocky!)and due to the joystick i lost bad, so i made the decision to stick to this machine until i adapt fully(which never happened), i made my attempts over and over but just kept missing key moves to get the wins, so my fog of defeat was rolling heavy like a broken down hippy van.i was accompanied by nelson(friend from work),jalel(friend from work),David(cousin from long island),timbo(former work friend),jay(best friend of over 15 years).we all made attempts at different games, a few good matches here and there but more loses than anything.
most of the older machines took tokens which were dispensed by a full flow of 4 ready and able machine, the newer machines(street fighter 4,blazblu and kof12)all took dollar bills 1 per play(little steep).it seemed all the machines were in fine working order , clean for the most part, unlike the floor ,which looks like its been neglected for decades.all and all i give it 5 stars for fun, 0 for bathroom as per non being available and the restaurant across the street was getting a little annoyed with all of us coming in without buying anything to pee. so i say please make it a point if you have never been to make it here to a great place for friends and fun!
also side note everyone should check out my boys blog spot Zack sporen versus the world, good stuff over there!!
